Senior Security Engineering Consultant
Basingstoke
£70,000 – £80,000

Our client is a global cyber security specialist helping organisations secure and connect their digital infrastructures. As part of continued UK growth, they are expanding their Professional Services capability and looking for a Senior Security Engineering Consultant to deliver specialist security engineering and operations consultancy across their customer base.

This is a hands-on, senior, customer-facing role within the Security Operations team, working alongside the SOC Engineering function. The focus is detection engineering and automation, helping customers improve and automate their SOC functions, tooling and detection capabilities.

What the position entails

– Leading the design and delivery of detection and response capabilities across SIEM, XDR and SOAR platforms

– Working directly with customers to define detection strategies and design use cases aligned to MITRE ATT&CK
– Guiding improvements in visibility, coverage and response maturity

Lead Security Engineer
📍 UK Permanent Cyber Security
Posted 12 August 2026

Lead Security Engineer
London
£77,000

Our client operates a broad technology estate spanning cloud platforms, e-commerce, in-house engineering and an extensive SaaS footprint. Their cybersecurity function protects that estate against an evolving threat landscape while enabling the business to grow, comply and operate efficiently.

They are now appointing a Lead Security Engineer to design, build and operate the security controls that underpin their cyber resilience programme. Reporting directly to the Group Information Security Manager, your focus will be the architectural, engineering and programme work that moves the security maturity dial across the Group.

This is a role for someone who wants to shape rather than maintain. It is a lean function — you and the Group Information Security Manager are the security team. Priorities will shift with the business, scope will evolve, and you will be expected to pick up what needs picking up rather than wait for ideal-shape work.

What the position entails

– Translating identified security objectives into engineered, automated and durably-owned controls
– Designing, building and operating security controls across cloud, e-commerce, engineering and SaaS environments
– Reducing reliance on tacit knowledge by formalising capability through process and design
– Driving foundational visibility programmes across asset and application management, identity and data, moving towards continuous, evidence-based assurance
– Using AI and automation as deliberate force multipliers
– Partnering with IT, Engineering, Product, Operations, Finance and other stakeholders to embed security into how the business actually operates

What we’re looking for

– Strong hands-on security engineering and architecture experience across cloud and SaaS-heavy estates
– A builder’s mindset — someone who improves maturity rather than simply maintains controls
– Confidence working with limited oversight and sound independent judgment
– The ability to influence engineers, product teams and senior stakeholders without formal authority
– Comfort with automation and AI as practical tools
– Flexibility and pragmatism in a small, fast-moving function

What you get

– Permanent, full-time role with genuine ownership and influence
– Remote / hybrid working, with regular presence at a London office
– Direct line to the Group Information Security Manager and senior stakeholders
– The chance to shape a security programme from the ground up rather than inherit someone else’s

Full Stack Developer
📍 UK Permanent Engineering 💰 £50,000
Posted 30 June 2026

Full Stack Developer

Remote / Hybrid

£50,000

A Niche Sports Technology business is looking for a full stack developer to take ownership of their core platform — a ground-up rebuild on a modern stack, with real commercial deadlines and genuine engineering ownership from day one.

This is a first dedicated engineering hire, working directly with product and commercial leadership. If you want to own outcomes rather than work a ticket queue, this is worth a look.

What You’ll Work On

Building client-facing dashboards, admin tooling, and a mobile-web field capture application
Owning the data layer — PostgreSQL schema design, multi-tenant row-level security, analytics, and a significant legacy data migration
Running CI/CD pipelines and keeping a live, revenue-bearing platform stable under real-world pressure
Working AI-natively — directing and reviewing agent-produced code as part of a deliberate engineering culture
Shaping architecture and delivery standards across a growing product portfolio

The Stack

Next.js 15 · React 19 · TypeScript · Tailwind · Supabase (PostgreSQL) · Drizzle ORM · Clerk · TanStack Query · Zod · GitHub Actions · DigitalOcean

Depth in TypeScript/React and relational databases is the priority — you don’t need every box ticked.

What We’re Looking For

A product-minded generalist who has shipped and operated real applications end-to-end, ideally in a small team
Strong database instincts — schemas, constraints, multi-tenant security models, and data migrations are your comfort zone
Comfortable with AI-assisted development and able to hold the quality line when using it
Pragmatic about scale — correctness and delivery pace matter more than distributed-systems complexity here
Self-sufficient and happy working with close proximity to product and business decisions
Ideally an interest in Sports

Why It’s Worth Considering

Real product, real revenue, real users from day one
Greenfield modern stack with a clear build plan already in place
Genuine ownership — first engineering hire with a direct line to leadership
An AI-native engineering culture built deliberately, not bolted on
